Good morning,

The night after the most recent thunderstorms Buddy and I were taking our afternoon walk and we came upon two dead baby robins.  I looked around for the nest and did not see it, but I did spy a lone robin sitting silent in the tree.  Maybe it was the mother sitting in silent vigil for her little ones.  I was very sad for her.  I said a prayer of blessing for her.

The Bible speaks of the importance of sparrows to God and then, our awesome God, who knows where each sparrow is, cares even more for us.  I know God was with that grieving mother robin as God is with me each and every day.

Matthew 10:29-30 says:  “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?  Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.  And even the hairs of your head are all counted.  So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Or Psalm 84 or Luke 12:6-7
